Agrarian Utopia

Facing seizure of their lands, two families find themselves farming together on the same field, hoping to make it through another rice-growing season as they always have. Yet no matter how much the world evolves, or how profoundly the country undergoes economic, political and social change, the happiness they seek remains beyond their grasp. How can we dream of utopia while our stomachs are still grumbling?
