Told almost entirely from the eye level of Indy, a loyal dog who moves with his chronically ill owner Todd into his late grandfather's isolated house in the woods, the film follows Indy as he senses a malevolent presence closing in on Todd long before any human realises something is wrong. Shot with the director's own dog as its star, Good Boy turns the old horror trope of animals sensing the supernatural first into an inventive and moving new angle on the haunted house film.
