Inle Echoes documents the aftermath of a powerful earthquake that struck Nyaung Shwe, Myanmar, devastating communities built on Inle Lake. Homes collapsed into the very water that once sustained daily life, leaving loss etched into the landscape. Through intimate observation, the film follows residents as they mourn, rebuild, and remember, with the lake itself becoming both witness and archive, reflecting resilience alongside grief. Centred on lived experience (rituals, memories, and quiet endurance), the documentary reveals how a community holds on to its identity and spirit after a sudden rupture.
