A documentary marking 60 years of Ultraman, with rare interviews from filmmakers and creators around the world, including Guillermo del Toro, Hirokazu Kore-eda, Hideo Kojima, Hideaki Anno, Shinji Higuchi and Nicolas Winding Refn. It returns to the birth of the tokusatsu series that took Japan by storm in 1966 and became a legend across six decades, asking what keeps Ultraman so powerful and so loved today: its singular world, kaiju with stories as rich as the hero's, and the distinctive design and craft behind it. Tracing the path from Eiji Tsuburaya and the original creative team to a worldwide phenomenon, this is the story behind the legend that will change how you see the hero of light.
